The Criminal Justice Awards were presented by the Criminal Justice Minister, Paul Goggins, at the Criminal Justice Stakeholder conference at the Hilton Hotel Templepatrick on 10th November 2008.
The purpose of the Awards is to recognise significant achievement among staff and volunteers within the Criminal Justice System who tirelessly work behind the scenes
For the first time this year the awards included a category for individuals who have made a difference from within their communities. These included individuals have been on the receiving end of crime and who through their bravery have become advocates against crime, people who have given sterling service in their community or voluntary roles and others who have taken a stand against crime, addressed the needs of victims or who have shown bravery or dedication that has benefited the course of justice.
