"Criminal Justice in a Shared Future" is the theme of this years Criminal Justice Week which will run from the 18th - 22nd February 2008. The week is designed to inform the public of the extensive and valuable work carried out across the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland and therefore increasing the understanding of the system and increasing confidence in it.
If the criminal justice system is to be truly effective there must be enough public trust and confidence in it to report crimes and to enable witnesses to come forward. Events will be held at various venues throughout Northern Ireland, many involving interagency participation which show how well the system interacts in local areas.
